I am working on microvascular fMRI techniques at ultra high magnetic field strength (7 T). The main projects will be focused on two promising novel fMRI techniques: line-scanning fMRI
and tracking cerebral blood volume (CBV-fMRI) changes in microvessels. These techniques have the potential to unmix the microvessel signals from the surface vessel signals and might be beneficial for both clinical research on the vascular component of brain pathology and fundamental neuroscience on mesoscopic brain function.
