PhD defense Dr. Emma Brouwer
18 February 2026On a particularly festive February 4th, Emma Brouwer successfully defended her PhD thesis: “The Big Little Brain: Exploring cerebellar function and structure using 7T MRI”.
In her thesis, Emma presents methodological tools to better visualise the intricate structure of the human cerebellum; insights into the fine-scale functional organisation of the cerebellar cortex and possible routes for application of high-resolution imaging in cerebellar disease, particularly Multiple Sclerosis.
